MAINE'S ANN ARCHINO HOWE TO SERVE ON
USGBC NATIONAL BOARD

The Maine Chapter of the US Green Building Council is thrilled to announce that Ann Archino Howe, P.E., LEED AP, president of Sustainable Design Studio, Portland, Maine, has been elected to the 2010 National Board of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a member organization and developer of the LEED rating systems. The vision of USGBC is that “buildings and communities will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life within a generation”. Ms. Archino Howe, whose civil engineering practice focuses on low impact, sustainable site design, was part of the organizing group for the Maine Chapter of the USGBC, served on its Board until 2009, and has represented the Maine Chapter on the Upper Northeast Regional Council since its formation in 2006. On the USGBC National Board, Ms. Archino Howe will be representing the Upper Northeast region (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, and Up-state NY).  Congratulations, Ann!
