Energy Modeling Workshop

The Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council invites you to attend an energy modeling workshop on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 9 am to Noon at the McKernan Hospitality Center on the Southern Maine Community College campus.  David Milliken of Horizon Energy Services will conduct this in-depth workshop.  Participants will learn the basic parameters of energy modeling systems and how energy modeling is employed as a component of building envelope design.  By the end of the workshop, participants can expect to understand the basics of the HERS Rating System Model in terms of model functions and calculations and model outputs and interpretations.  Participants will also learn how energy modeling interfaces with the green building certification process including the Energy Star and LEED green building rating system.
