Emerging Professionals' Green Careers Series - Part 4

What:  The Emerging Green Builders of the Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council present Green Careers Series, Part 3.  Each event takes place at a Portland location, highlighting local businesses that, in some way, promote environmental responsibility and awareness through their operations or services.  Each part of the series is organized around a theme.  The theme of this session, Part 4, is energy.

Dana Fischer, Purist Energy

Dana Fischer is the brains (and braun) behind Purist Energy, LLC - "Solar Hot Water Made Simple."  Dana is a BPI Certified energy auditor whose professional experience also includes working with municipalities.  (www.puristenergy.com)

Vamshi Gooje, Fore Solutions

Vamshi Gooje, LEED AP BD+C is a Senior Energy Analyst and Project Manager at Fore Solutions.  In his work at Fore Solutions, Vamshi engages in whole building energy simulation including thermal and daylighting models.  Vamshi worked on an ASHRAE funded research project as part of his research thesis on radiant effects of thermal mass on human comfort. Before joining Fore Solutions, Vamshi worked as an Assistant Architect in India on residential projects and commercial interior projects. He also worked as a Graphic Specialist for Department of Mechanical and Aerospace engineering at Arizona State University.  (www.fore-solutions.com)

J.D. Lloyd, Investment Engineering

J.D. Lloyd joined Investment Engineering in 2010. He brings a strong background in energy engineering, project management, manufacturing, and operations and maintenance of various mechanical systems.
His professional experience includes leadership roles with a multi-million dollar, FDA regulated medical device production operation and building systems optimizations roles with a large retailer in their energy department.  Through these positions, J.D. has gained the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary for facilitating and leading energy optimization projects on behalf of clients.

He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, with a particular emphasis on sustainable mechanical design, energy systems, and building performance.

J.D. serves the local community as a call firefighter/EMT in his spare time.  (www.investengineer.com)
