I am a residential real estate appraiser with twenty-six years experience in appraising 1-4 family residential property.  Recent green assignments have involved two properties with solar hot water and/or photo voltaic panels for electricity production; as well as a high-end value ocean front property with numerous systems and construction resulting in zero fossil fuel usage.  Other assignments have ranged from low value re-hab properties, multi-million dollar estates, land locked and un-buildable parcels, properties subject to life tenancies, properties on islands in Southern Maine’s Casco Bay, and a foreclosed property with an unfinished building  ‘shell’.

I hold the SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute which is the largest and most prominent professional appraisal association in the country, and am the immediate past-Presidential (2009 and 2010) of the Maine Chapter.  SRA designated appraisers hold the highest level credential meeting strict requirements on ethics, peer reviewed work experience, and advanced education well beyond that of state appraiser licensing.  I have completed green valuation education hrough the Appraisal Institute which includes: Valuing High Performance Residential Properties and Valuation of Green Residential Properties.
