American Institute of Architects -Maine
AIA Maine promotes the highest standards for design of Maine’s built environment through public advocacy, volunteerism, educational programs, outreach events, and design awards competitions. AIA Maine members, over 200 strong and representing every region of the State, practice in firms ranging from one to over 100 persons.

PSA programs are designed to help develop a greater understanding of the importance of quality design and sound urban planning while providing social and business networking opportunities within the local design community.
Architalx
Architalx is a non-profit volunteer organization established in 1987 for the purpose of providing educational programs in the field of architecture and design to Greater Portland and Maine. The mission of Architalx is dedicated to broadening the awareness and understanding of architecture, landscape architecture and design by sponsoring activities which foster evocative and creative dialogue within the design community and with the general public.
Pecha Kucha ペチャクチャ
PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

Maine Preservation
Maine Preservation, founded in 1972, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit member-based statewide historic preservation organization. The organization is also a Statewide Partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The mission of Maine Preservation is to promote the preservation, protection and vitality of Maine’s historic places and to encourage quality design that contributes to the livability of our communities.
Portland Trails
Portland Trails is a non-profit urban land trust dedicated to building a network of multi-use trails in the Greater Portland (ME) area.
Green Drinks – Portland, Maine
Portland Greendrinks is part of the international Greendrinks network — an informal, volunteer-managed social networking group built around a common interest in the natural environment. It occurs on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 5:30 pm. The goal of Greendrinks is pretty simple: good times shared among people working in, or interested in, environmental and sustainability issues.
